it is not straightforward that the code works with my teensy 4.0, i get an error, why? board is selected, usb port is selected, usb type midi is selected. code uploads but nothing appears in the serial monitor. also, the imported functions are generating some conflict apparently.

Does midi compiant mean you only need a USB cable? And can any Arduino be midi compliant by using a simple midi to usb adapter? I use one (it looks like it's only a cable) and it works perfectly with my Arduino Uno. However I always need two connections: USB for power and the adapter to connect the five pin midi socket of my home made midi controller to the usb port on my laptop.

Would you mind giving us a closeup of the microcontroller chip (or just copy the text on it)? I'm curious what they went with for this.

At first I was shocked not to see a multiplexer, then I realized that you implemented button matrix. Congrats, great design. I made the same pedal last year, but with a multiplexer.

Thank you for your excellent work. Just a small thing: To know not only which bank we are in, but also which selection within this bank. Solution 2 led's per button OR A little numerical display for the bank and then the led just for selection

I just discovered your page a few days ago, and my mind is on fire with ideas. I can never find exactly what I'm looking for in a MIDI controller, so I can just BUILD exactly what I'm looking for, thanks to YOU!! Amazing content, and you have a real knack for teaching. If I want to build a visual feedback display on the controller (like the LED ring, or a scribble strip display, or whatever) is there a command to query the MIDI device it's controlling for the current value of that CC? If not, how could I get that feedback?
